EACH DAY:
*To say some short prayer to the Mother of God at the
beginning and end of each day.
In popular use are the three "Hail Mary's" together with
the prayer: "We Fly to Your Protection"
*To spend some time each day, if possible, in quiet
personal prayer to Jesus Christ.
(Reading and reflection on the Scriptures can be of great
help to you in your prayer. This kind of prayer is a source of spiritual
gifts from God.)
*To make a brief examination of your conscience at night,
thanking God for His goodness to you and asking forgiveness for your
failures.
*To offer a decade of the Rosary daily, for the
conversion of sinners.(This intention is particularly close to the heart of
Mary, Mother of Mercy.)
GENERAL:
*To make the best use possible of the Mass and the
Sacrament of Reconciliation in your life, remembering also the important
festal days of the Lord and His Mother.
*To take part in the devotional life of the parish and in
the good works suggested by the parish priest. To support him and his
assistants in your prayers and in any other ways that are practically
possible.
*To remember the unborn and infants committed to the care
of Mary, Mother of Good Hope.
*It is an excellent practice to have a Mass offered each
year for all deceased members of the Confraternity.
Kindly Note: These practices are in no sense obligatory.
They should be interpreted in the light of Fr. Colin's principle: "A short,
simple way of life, easy to observe and proportioned to the needs and
conditions of each". One does the best one can out of love for God and
gratitude to Mary.
"Try to be imitators of the Holy Family as much as you
can by God's grace, especially in humility, self-effacement, simplicity of
heart, mutual charity and the love of God.
"Use this world's goods in such a way that they do not
become your real treasure.
"Avoid in your life what smacks of arrogance, display and
a passion for human applause.

The Angelus
The Angel of the Lord declared to Mary: And she conceived
of the Holy Spirit.
Hail Mary, . . .
Behold the handmaid of the Lord:
Be it done to me according to your word.
Hail Mary, . . .
And the Word was made flesh: And dwelt among us. Hail
Mary, .
Pray for us, O holy Mother of God,
That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us pray: Pour forth, we beseech you, O Lord, your
grace into our hearts that we, to whom the incarnation of Christ, your
Son, was made known by the message of an angel, may be brought by his
passion and cross f to the glory of his resurrection, through the same
Christ our Lord. Amen.
May the divine assistance remain always with us t and
may the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in
peace. Amen.
We fly to your protection, O Holy Mother of God:
Despise not our prayers in our necessities But deliver us
from all dangers, O glorious and blessed Virgin!
