Dear Friends

Great changes have taken place in the organisation of the Marist Fathers in Europe. We are now the Province of Europe with Fr John Hannon SM, Ireland, elected Provincial. He will be assisted by Fr Martin McAnaney SM for Ireland and England; Fr Joaquin Fernandez SM for Spain and Italy; Fr Jean-Marie Bloqueau SM for France and Fr Ad Blommerde SM for Germany and Holland. The Sector Leader for England is yet to be announced. The Province of Europe will be formally erected 1st June with a ceremony at La Neyliere. All members of English Delegation will meet in Leeds 4th/6th June in Leeds to mark the end of the old and the birth of the new. This whole project will be very tentative. More questions can be asked than answers given but we must face the future as people of faith, hope and charity ready to spread the Spirit of Mary throughout the world.
